<p style="text-align: justify;">First of all, Selamat Hari Merdeka or <strong>Happy Independence Day</strong> to Malaysia! This year marks a special double celebration for those of us in Malaysia since our Independence day coincides with the Hari Raya celebration, which meant a longer stretch of holiday, not to mention the multitude of lemang and rendang as well. As for me, to enjoy my week-long break, I am now in Manila! We just arrived yesterday and boy, was it a long day! Flight was at 7.55am, which meant we had to wake up by 5am to go to the airport. Since we took the Air Asia flight which landed in Clark, we had to endure a 2-hour ride to Manila. *yawn* Along the way, look what I saw &#8211; Mexico! Little did I know that there was a Mexico in Philippines as well. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6076/6098885612_d10950ee56_b.jpg" alt="P1020162" border="0" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Mexico in 1km?</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6064/6098338745_22876d679e_b.jpg" alt="P1020165" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Exit to Mexico</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On the way to Manila, we stopped by for lunch since I was famished. We only saw fast food outlets in the nearby shopping mall, so we settled for Kenny Rogers which was supposed to be a healthier option. I was surprised to find out that they serve Pork Ribs here, along with their Rotisserie chicken.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6070/6098885966_6b649800f4_b.jpg" alt="P1020168" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Crowded Kenny Rogers</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The serving of pork ribs was pretty generous, and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. Saucer thought it was a tad too dry though, but nothing some gravy can&#8217;t fix! <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6191/6098886136_355190a29a_b.jpg" alt="P1020171" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Chicken and pork ribs combo</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Another hour or so drive towards Manila and we&#8217;ve reached our hotel! We are staying at the <a href="http://www.shangri-la.com/en/property/manila/edsashangrila" target="_blank"><strong>Edsa Shangrila</strong></a>, located just next to the Shangrila Plaza and across the street from Megamall (both of which I intend to visit soon!).</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6204/6098339729_266620669d_b.jpg" alt="P1020180" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Our room</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our room was relatively spacious, with a large King-sized bed with 4 plush pillows and comfortable sheets.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6087/6098339145_1ff132ab42_b.jpg" alt="P1020176" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>King-sized bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I was surprised to find that they are still using CRT TV in the room instead of LCD or Plasma. Not a major complaint since I won&#8217;t be spending much time watching TV in the room. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> What I love though, is their complimentary Broadband access! At times the connection could be fabulous, with speed of about 100kps, but sometimes there could be intermittent disconnection. Again, not a major complaint.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6195/6098339541_5943993977_b.jpg" alt="P1020178" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Spacious double room</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6181/6098886458_a46f45682e_b.jpg" alt="P1020177" border="0" /></em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Coffee/tea making facilities</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee and tea are provided, together with 2 small bottles of water daily. The snack bar is well-equipped together with a section with mini liquors, but everything comes with a price of course!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6061/6098887338_a19b7149fc_b.jpg" alt="P1020182" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Complimentary water</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6062/6098340219_118cbd4195_b.jpg" alt="P1020183" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Snack bar</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6080/6098338429_b0cc99b345_b.jpg" alt="P1020193" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Mini bar price list (Current conversion rate: 100peso = RM7.02)</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As with other Shangrila hotels, bathrobes are provided together with comfortable bedroom slippers. Shoe-shining service is complimentary as well!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6200/6098887558_423da88004_b.jpg" alt="P1020184" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bath robes</em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bedroom slippers and complimentary shoe-shining service</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The bathroom is spacious with a full-sized bathtub within, complete with hot and cold shower. My only gripe is that they don&#8217;t have a proper toilet stall for the WC.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6061/6098340721_8a0d23d282_b.jpg" alt="P1020187" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Shower and bath tub</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6085/6098340893_b82cdf9c33_b.jpg" alt="P1020190" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Wash basin and WC</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6062/6098340975_2c80647224_b.jpg" alt="P1020191" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Toiletries provided</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our room faces the city, which meant seeing cars and buildings every day when we wake up. Perhaps a better choice would be the garden view or the pool view, don&#8217;t you think so? I wouldn&#8217;t want to get stressed by looking at the Manila traffic jam every morning <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6198/6098359493_3e06bffcb1_b.jpg" alt="P1020290" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>View from the room</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We went out right after checking in yesterday, and came back only around 10pm to find our bed nicely turned down for the night, together with warm lights switched on. Such a thoughtful gesture by the housekeeping staff. Now if you&#8217;ll excuse me, I should get myself ready to explore the shopping malls nearby! Update soon!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6087/6098359055_d315e8b379_b.jpg" alt="P1020287" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Time for bed!</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">*P/S: Let&#8217;s hope I have the courage to eat a balut while I&#8217;m out! <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The last time I had fun in the water at <a href="http://www.sunwaylagoon.com" target="_blank"><strong>Sunway Lagoon</strong></a> must have been more than 10 years ago, when the theme park was new and incomplete. Last week, I was lucky to be invited to the launch of <strong>Coway Spa Water Softener</strong> that took place in Sunway Lagoon itself.  Coway, the leading home-wellness appliances manufacturer from Korea has installed 48 units of Spa Water Softener at the water theme park to enable Malaysians to experience the wonders of soft water for free.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6132/5924630926_19b82c9be4_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Welcome to Sunway Lagoon</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6126/5924067811_e948a3f0bc_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Coway Spa Water Softener</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What are the benefits  of soft water?</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Increases skin moisture level by as much as 69%</li>
<li>Reduces dead skin cells</li>
<li>Decreases skin friction by 20%</li>
<li>Soften hair and scalp</li>
<li>Reduces dandruff</li>
<li>Higher soapiness</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6008/5924069139_02e00d4e87_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Compare the difference between tap water and soft water</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Coway Spa Water Softener claims to transform the tap water to soft water, making it a healthier option for the body while ensuring smoother, softer skin within 2 weeks. The water softener is equipped with a composite filter within to remove chlorine, germs and floating substances from tap water while its Ion Exchange Resin reduces the hardness of tap water.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6006/5924632530_21a612fa5b_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Coway Spa Water Softener</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The 48 preview units were installed in some of the shower rooms in Sunway Lagoon and will be available for a period of 3 months. I tried showering with the soft water and indeed, the chlorine level is much lower than regular tap water.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6133/5924069493_c255438290_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Some other Coway products &#8211; air purifier</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Coway Spa Water Softener retails at <strong>RM1,900</strong> or is available for rental at<strong> RM70 per month</strong>, including a bi-monthly product maintenance service. If you would like to try it before purchasing, you can sign up for Coway’s exclusive 14-day trial period for free.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Sand art</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After the launch, the few of us spent the afternoon at Sunway Lagoon, starting with a hand at Archery.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6140/5924073545_025bbac31d_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Then, we made our way to the <strong>World&#8217;s Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge </strong>in the world, crossing from one end to the other &#8211; 428m! This was where Caroline had to face her fear of height while I took the opportunity to snap some gorgeous pictures from above.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/6021/5924076201_fc40e1202a_b.jpg" alt="Coway Sunway Lagoon" border="0" /></em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Hanging on to dear <del>life</del> Eric</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To be honest, some of the parts of the bridge were pretty scary because the metal bars on the floor gave me the feeling of insecurity. But of course, it&#8217;s all an illusion. <p style="text-align: justify;">We then moved on to <strong>Wagon on Wheels</strong>, which is a small-scale Ferris Wheel. Over here, you&#8217;d see Caroline feeling more relieved and happy. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Caroline &amp; Eric</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Before we moved on to the water theme park, the guys went on the scary<strong> Pirates Revenge</strong> &#8211; Malaysia&#8217;s first 360-degree Rotating Pirate Ship! Needless to say, timid people like me wouldn&#8217;t be up there. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> Spot the guys in one of the rows!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>360-degree overturned pirate ship</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It was overall a fun and eventful day, not to mention the water slides that we played after. No pictures of the water park since all our cameras were kept inside the locker by then. The fun in the sun was all thanks to Coway! <p style="text-align: justify;">It&#8217;s Happy Travel Tuesday again! It&#8217;s high time for another travel post, don&#8217;t you think so? <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> I have just returned from a very relaxing and beautiful trip in <strong>Phuket</strong>, Thailand, with a horrendous tan! Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I have nothing against tan, but I think it must be my bikini that is giving me lines in all the wrong places. Anyway, let&#8217;s go for a short introductory entry (while I recuperate from my bout of food poisoning yesterday <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> ) on our first day in Phuket, shall we? We reached our hotel, <strong>Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort</strong>, at the early hour of 9am, thinking we might not be able to check in so early.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5070/5703161243_f47cbeabd3_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-4" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>King size bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The kind hotel staff put us at ease with some welcome drinks and a mini flower lei each, while asking us to wait for half an hour for our room. Thanks to the free wireless broadband in the lobby, we were entertained for the next 45 minutes until our room was finally ready. Located at the Karon beach, Le Meridien Phuket has its own private pristine beach that is clean with very fine sand. Walking on the sand was like walking on a bed of soft snow, except that it wasn&#8217;t cold. The best part about it was how secluded and private the beach was. I spent a few days lying on a sun bed alone and falling asleep and felt totally safe about it!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5028/5703162057_3a41a191eb_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-9" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Sun, sea and sand</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Once our room was ready, we were led by the nice concierge lady who looked eager to please. Along the way, we passed by a row of shops and a few gigantic pools with water so blue we felt like jumping into it straightaway!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5304/5703160435_5c2eec31d8_b.jpg" alt="P1040672" border="0" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Lobby of Le Meridien Phuket</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/3026/5703728468_edce6df715_b.jpg" alt="P1040676" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Welcome flower lei</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our room faced the garden and had a huge King sized bed with four fluffy pillows on it. The bed was one of the most comfortable that we&#8217;ve slept on before &#8211; firm and sturdy yet soft, it was heavenly.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/2757/5703728598_21a6a613a9_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-1" border="0" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>King sized bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Next to the bed was a dressing table with a mirror and night lamp. This ended up to be Saucer&#8217;s working desk instead, with his laptop perched on the table every night while I watched the LCD TV.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/3065/5703160931_f353396e3b_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-2" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Dressing table/Study desk</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5029/5703728936_842a1b6b9d_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-3" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Another view of the room</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I like how wooden and rustic the whole room was, reminding me that I was in a tropical country. The amenities in the room were rather complete. There was a hair dryer inside the drawer of the dressing table, an ironing board and iron inside the wardrobe, an umbrella, complimentary shoe-shining service and coffee-making facilities. If I really wanted to nitpick, I would prefer the hotel to provide slippers and tooth brushes as well. (Yes, funny that no tooth brush was provided)</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5306/5703729282_2730d6bc67_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-5" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Inside the wardrobe</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There was a full-size bath tub with a shower inside the bathroom, which proved to be really useful after a whole day in the sun. Just soaking myself inside the tub of warm water with lots of foam did wonders to the body and the mind, I kid you not.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/3521/5703729470_558c6d3bfc_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-6" border="0" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bathroom</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/2775/5703161765_53c8dfd88a_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-7" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Minimal toiletries provided</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Outside our balcony were table and chairs but the air-conditioned room was so comfortable that we seldom made use of these at all. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/2545/5703729800_d4c7fb5ae2_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-8" border="0" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Table and chairs at the balcony</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What was even more amazing was their breakfast buffet, that had coconut drinks! Ah it was such a bliss to be sitting just next to the pool, sipping icy-cold coconut juice while enjoying the morning breeze and the sound of waves in the background. If this ain&#8217;t paradise, it sure was close to it! <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5269/5703162291_a3dfec416f_b.jpg" alt="Le Meridien Phuket-10" border="0" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Coconut juice for breakfast? </em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our stay at<strong> Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort </strong>was indeed a memorable one, with fantastic staff and gorgeous swimming pools that I can&#8217;t stop raving about. It was a promise of sun, sea, sand and beyond. More about that in the upcoming posts, I promise! <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/KULHIHI-Hilton-Kuala-Lumpur-hotel/index.do" target="_blank"><strong>Hilton KL</strong></a>, a prestigious and classy hotel situated in the heart of the city, is no stranger to local or even foreign tourists. Located at the centre of the transportation hub, it is easily the most accessible hotel in KL, with a gorgeous view to boot. Now, how would you like to stay in its most luxurious <strong>Grand Executive Suite</strong>, with a breath-taking view of the KL Tower donning the floor-to-ceiling windows that surround a huge room with separate living room and a King bed? For FREE? Read on to find out how!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5222/5660727593_002755c211_b.jpg" alt="hilton" width="450" height="648" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Grand Executive Suite of Hilton KL Hotel</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Last week, I was invited to Hilton KL&#8217;s launch of their new website: <a href="http://www.life.hiltonkl.com" target="_blank"><strong>www.life.hiltonkl.com</strong></a>, a dynamic page that delivers the latest news on the hotel&#8217;s food and beverage promotions, culinary activities, exclusive hotel functions, behind-the-scene scoops on special events, celebrity sightings, interviews with guest chefs and much more.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5225/5657208575_a874f15f60_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Mojito</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The website concept focuses on cuisine with great images and dedicated web pages on Hilton KL&#8217;s signature restaurants and bars, with full details of menus, opening hours, promotions and an online booking and inquiry function, among others. Now there is a one-stop portal for everyone to refer to for the latest promotions, to check out the dining ambience, or even to make a reservation!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5022/5657783140_63a68590cb_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-2" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Seared tuna</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The site is interactive and dynamic, with all key promotions and events maintained as blog posts with hyperlinks to information that offers added insights. Besides, the site has comprehensive information on hotel&#8217;s events and meeting capabilities, wedding services, spa and gym &#8211; basically everything that the hotel offers. It is also easy to navigate, with clear and straightforward tabs for different categories.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5227/5657783364_be4007bce7_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-3" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Lovely canapes</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The night of the launching was actually pretty enjoyable, hosted by Red FM DJ, Terry Ong. We were all ushered into a function room right after drinks and refreshments, to take part in a night filled with games and prizes.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5224/5657783502_825cd22ab7_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-4" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Tender beef canape</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5066/5657209729_0af9eec24f_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-9" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Emcee of the night &#8211; Terry of Red FM</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The first game requested for 5 female volunteers, and feeling sporting, I went to the front of the room. The girls were then paired with a chef each, while I was paired with Miguel (Director of F&amp;B). What happened after that was something I did for the first time in my life &#8211; molesting a stranger&#8217;s legs from top to bottom. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5068/5657209367_5b5bbd0a87_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-6" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Listening to instructions of the game</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Well, the instructions were clear. The ladies were supposed to put an egg in one side of the man&#8217;s pants, push it up and across to the other side for it to come out, without breaking the egg. Of course, the tough part was getting the egg to cross over, and I had a hard time with it, thanks to someone wearing boxers. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> We managed it do in the end (yay!) and got a present for it!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5183/5657783952_78d0cca0d7_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-7" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Pushing the egg up!</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After that, there were rounds and rounds of questions, which we were supposed to answer with the help of the website. The questions listed were all related to the hotel&#8217;s chefs, restaurants, meeting facilities and so on, and we were all given a very short time to answer them correctly. Stressed!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5223/5657784356_2bda4af7a2_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-11" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Saucer answering his questions</em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bok looking serious</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Another hilarious game was when Terry requested for a few guys, and asked them to hit the mineral water bottle with a pantyhose filled with tennis balls inside. Since the pantyhose was tied to the waist, we saw plenty of rocking action that night. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5309/5657784646_a6d9cb8487_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Hilton Website Launch-13" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Rock that bottle</em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Fellow bloggers and Terry</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, to celebrate the launch of this new website, Hilton Kuala Lumpur is giving away over <strong>RM5,000 </strong>worth of fabulous prizes that include complimentary stay in the hotel&#8217;s <strong>Grand Executive Suite</strong> and dining vouchers in their signature restaurants. All you have to do is log on to <a href="http://www.life.hiltonkl.com" target="_blank"><strong>www.life.hiltonkl.com</strong></a>, answer 8 questions and complete a slogan!</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Philea Resort and Spa</strong>, the largest and biggest log resort in Malaysia is situated in the town of Ayer Keroh, Melaka, covering 15 acres of luxury living and relaxation. Last weekend, a group of us was privileged to visit the prestigious resort for a weekend of relaxation and rejuvenation. Upon reaching the lobby of the resort, I was in awe with the architecture and design of the building. It was basic yet modern, with logs taking up a big part of the building. I knew it then, that I was in the middle of a haven.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5143/5577248938_83b4d78a56_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-5" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Philea Suite</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After checking in, we were ushered to a buggy to ferry us to our rooms. But before that, we made a short detour to one of the 19 <strong>Philea Suites</strong>, spacious and elegantly furnished with a comfortable settee and a stand-up bathtub in the bathroom.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5019/5577248410_d229908109_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-1" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>The thousands of koi in the pool</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5136/5577248532_100d1ec27d_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-2" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Our buggy</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5255/5576663559_6ed7d3dd49_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-4" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Interior of Philea Suite</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I was most impressed with the stand-up bathtub that had a shower head which looked like a telephone. Very tasteful, don&#8217;t you think?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5180/5577248624_549a1baa69_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-3" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Stand-up bathtub</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5104/5577250688_8e317f2cfa_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-16" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Telephone, or not?</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Soon, we proceeded to our own rooms on the buggy. Along the way, we were surrounded by nature, greens and a waterfall. It was indeed a retreat within the jungle.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5027/5577249082_8f7cf8f4ea_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-6" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Waterfall</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We stayed in the <strong>Pavilion Villa</strong>, and our unit was situated on the first floor.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5291/5576666737_07476a4ce0_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-25" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Pavilion Villa</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Once we opened the door, what greeted our eyes was nothing short of heavenly. I was this close to jumping on the bed if not for Saucer forbidding me to do so, until he had finished taking pictures, that is. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> The bed was very comfortable and had huge fluffy pillows which I hugged to sleep that night.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5108/5577249202_00b40949fa_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-7" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Pavilion Villa room</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5308/5577249890_f33b9f39be_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-11" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Luxurious King sized bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The whole room was built from logs, thereby creating a very rustic yet cosy environment. The effect was nothing less than stunning. There was a woody smell upon entering the room, but it soon diminished after we left the air-conditioner on for a couple of hours. Our only gripe was that it took quite a while for our room to cool down, perhaps due to the scorching hot sun that afternoon and the fact that our room was on the top floor. Other than that, it was perfect!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5099/5577251144_fd5f836175_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-19" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Giant fluffy pillows</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The toilet was modern and well-equipped with a full-sized bathtub as well as a shower booth. I loved the giant shower head in the shower booth that provided a strong and dense water pressure. Bliss!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5023/5577249382_c418de12f4_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-8" /></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bath tub and wash basin</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The toiletries provided were complete and neatly arranged. The basic body shampoo, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were there, as well as cotton buds, sewing kit, shaver, comb, toothbrush, soap and shower cap.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5025/5576666463_13bc313d3f_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Philea Resort-24" /></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As mentioned earlier in my<a href="http://www.iamthewitch.com/2010/12/06/landing-in-xiamen-china-part-1/" target="_blank"><strong> first post</strong></a> of Xiamen, we were supposed to switch hotels after the first night. The second hotel, without a doubt, was much better than the one we stayed in. The next morning, we went for breakfast, packed and took a cab to the next hotel.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5124/5240600711_24684a12b9_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 3-1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Couldn&#8217;t resist taking the picture of giant sneakers!</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The hotel that we were going to was called <a href="http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/XMNHT/main.wnt" target="_blank"><strong>Wyndham Hotel Xiamen</strong></a>, which is also ranked #2 by <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g297407-d1425841-Reviews-Wyndham_Xiamen-Xiamen_Fujian.html" target="_blank"><strong>TripAdvisor</strong></a>. Once we entered the lobby, it felt like we were in a different world altogether. The majestic chandeliers were so grand and sparkly, the floors so smooth and shiny, and the area so spacious! Luxurious, definitely luxurious.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5207/5241199476_8d10102d6d_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 3-15" /></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Spiral staircase</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">While Saucer was performing the necessary check in procedures, I couldn&#8217;t help but be awed by my surroundings.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">We were given a twin bed room, but each bed was wide enough for 2 persons! It was larger than the standard size single bed, but just slightly smaller than a queen bed. <p style="text-align: justify;">If you have been following my <a href="http://www.twitter.com/iamthewitch" target="_blank"><strong>Twitter updates</strong></a>, you would have known that Saucer and I flew (again!), this time to Xiamen, Fujian province, China, about one month ago. It was technically Saucer&#8217;s company trip which was supposed to last 3 days, but we extended it to a week since we were already there. We arrived a day before his conference started, so the first night&#8217;s hotel was under our own expenses. I consulted my Beijing friends on the hotel recommendations and we ended up staying at this hotel called <strong>East Vanguard</strong> or <a href="http://www.chinahotel.com.cn/chinahotels_detail.php?hotel_id=5020" target="_blank"><strong>Wan Jia Dong Fang (万佳东方</strong></a><strong>)</strong> Hotel.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5125/5234119358_0e6397d61f_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Wan Jia Dong Fang Hotel</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is quite a pain if you don&#8217;t know Chinese whenever you visit China, because most of the communication is being done in Mandarin. Also, if you noticed, the hotel name is also purely in Chinese characters! So, if you&#8217;re Chinese-blind like both of us, you better start jotting down the names on paper. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> From the Xiamen airport, we took a cab to the hotel (by showing the driver my piece of paper <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> ) and it was only less than RMB40 (~RM20) for the ride!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5167/5233510717_425a7b5c8c_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Customary tea set in every hotel we stayed in Xiamen</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When we reached the reception, it was another headache as I muttered out the little Mandarin that I knew, trying to get my room reservation. Luckily, the girls understood my difficulty and were really friendly to me! Before long, we were given keys to our double room! I must say, for <strong>RMB288/night</strong> (~RM144), we got a pretty good deal!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5083/5233511489_57a2ba34f0_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>King-sized bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The bed was King sized, with comforter and plush pillows. One gripe though, for I felt that the bed was a little too hard! *LOL* Also, I realized that out of the 2 hotels that we stayed in, both provided the tea-making facilities. I soon found out that Xiamen was actually famous in producing &#8220;Tie Kuan Yin&#8221; tea leaves, hence you can see loads of tea shops in Xiamen!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5126/5233512245_fbbbb17bd5_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>King-sized bed</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The room also came with a flat screen LCD TV! Not bad, right? But I didn&#8217;t really watch that much TV as most of the programmes were local and in Chinese. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5004/5234105774_32a435d839_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Flat screen LCD</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The bathroom and toilet were spotlessly clean, and there was even a bathtub!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/5126/5234106646_c8299b07ac_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Xiamen Part 1" /></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Bathtub with window to the bed <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Toiletries were plentiful and I loved their comb and toothbrushes! They looked like they&#8217;re of higher quality compared to the normal toothbrushes I found from hotels. Will show you a picture perhaps in the next post? <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Remember my visits to the 2 wineries before this? After going to <a href="http://www.iamthewitch.com/2010/09/17/cheese-and-wine-tasting-at-all-saints-estate-rutherglen/" target="_blank"><strong>All Saints Estate</strong></a> and <a href="http://www.iamthewitch.com/2010/09/22/the-making-of-wines/" target="_blank"><strong>Campbells Winery</strong></a>, we thought of going to a beer brewery for a change. From the flyers, we saw one which was only 10km away, called <strong>Vintara Winery &amp; Brewery</strong>. So, excitedly we drove towards Vintara and saw this signboard. Vintara had BOTH a winery and brewery. Apparently, the word Bintara was coined to represent the Beer Brewery, Beer + Vintara = Bintara.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4127/5013822693_221d235419_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>witch at Vintara/Bintara</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The sky was as usual blue, and the weather was sunny but cool. Sitting outdoors at the vineyard in this gorgeous weather was simply out of this world.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4086/5013822825_d44b3ff601_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Fancy a cuppa here?<br />
</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4088/5013823127_fb06e155c6_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>The lush greenery</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We soon made our way to the cellar door, in hopes of finding a brewery.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4148/5014430268_65e7a79e89_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Towards Vintara Cafe</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Once we&#8217;re in, the place was empty except for barrels and modern wine filters. There was no one there, until we called out a few times. When the person in charge came, he was friendly and welcomed us. We eagerly told him that we were there to visit the brewery but alas! He said the brewery was already closed down 6 weeks before that! What they were running now was just a winery. Oh dear! You can&#8217;t imagine how disappointed we were, to have so much hope only to be let down. *sigh*</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4149/5014430458_370c7b91c8_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Barrels of wine</em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4087/5014430358_d8a15d71c0_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Wine making equipment</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Since we were already there, he offered to let us try to wine instead. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> We tried a few glasses but didn&#8217;t find any that we liked, so we thanked him and left. By then, it was already close to 5pm, where most wineries or breweries would have closed.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4128/5013823469_19a61802a2_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Wine tasting counter at Vintara</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">That was failed attempt number 1. To cheer us up, we went to Mc Donald&#8217;s! *LOL* We&#8217;re easy to please eh?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4148/5014429980_09a3001f54_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>McDonald&#8217;s</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The burgers at McDonald&#8217;s here looked different and tasted different too. They had more of the healthier versions of burger. For example, the <strong>Seared Chicken Deluxe </strong>I had was a piece of seared chicken breast which was low in fat, as opposed to the deep fried chicken thigh we have in Malaysia. They also used sourdough bun instead of the normal sesame seed bun we have here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4144/5014430142_1d18aaa988_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Seared Chicken Deluxe</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As for Saucer, he opted for something huge &#8211; the <strong>Grand Angus</strong>. This burger was filled with a thick and tender Angus beef patty, red onion rings, cheese, tomato, gourmet salad mix, and served on a soft sourdough bun. Getting thumbs-up from him!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4129/5014430060_8510d8399d_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>McDonald&#8217;s Grand Angus burger</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We went back to Lake Mulwala after that and called it a day. The next morning, our determination was still strong on finding that beer brewery, so we headed a bit further to <strong>Boorhaman</strong>, where a famous local brewery was at. Boorhaman was situated about 40km from Lake Mulwala, so we started our journey early in the morning.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4112/5013823767_32e35c23dd_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Road trip to Boorhaman</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The whole journey was along country roads, sandwiched in between lush greenery and lots of farm animals. I was particularly fascinated by how livestock were left alone in the open, with no one monitoring them. They seemed to be pretty contented on their own, munching away the green grass, oblivious to the surroundings.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4109/5014431032_c48277204c_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Australia Brewery" /></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Happy Mooncake Festival everyone! Yesterday marked the 15th day of the eighth month in Lunar Calendar, also known as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Autumn_Festival" target="_blank"><strong>Mid-Autumn Festival</strong></a>. During this day, the moon appears to be at its largest and roundest, and mooncakes are often eaten, while lanterns are lit. This year, I happened to be back in my hometown a few days before the big day, so we celebrated it at home with family members.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4151/5014853226_e5b348b3f6_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Mooncake Festival" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Paper lanterns</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As usual, my mom would light up paper lanterns around the house as decoration. All these paper lanterns made the house look really colourful and pretty! But this year, we had something extra! Apart from paper lanterns, we had <strong>Wishing Lanterns (Hung Ming lantern) </strong>as well. One is supposed to write his or her wishes on the lantern before lighting it up and let it rise into the sky.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4131/5014858784_bc11729e72_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Mooncake Festival" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Lighting up the Wishing Lantern</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After the lantern was lit, we had to wait for the air inside the lantern to heat up and become lighter.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/4111/5014854358_b1f24023a9_b.jpg" border="0" alt="Mooncake Festival" /></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">After a while, the lantern seemed to have blown up nicely, and getting lighter.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">I have been meaning to put up these pictures ever since I moved down to KL 2 months ago. Somehow, I got caught up,  first with unpacking my 2 cars worth of stuff *gasp* and later many other random things and events. Anyway, I&#8217;m just going to show you some pictures of my new home! *excited* To make things clear, I did not buy this apartment, it is merely rented for a year. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What I love about this apartment is that it&#8217;s a standalone building with only one block! Unlike most of many other apartments that you can find these days, there are many blocks and many stories, such that it gives you a congested feeling. This apartment, however, only has one block with a mere 16 storeys. So, the density is definitely on the low side.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2476/3790821962_733d8335c9.jpg" alt="P1020145" width="500" height="333" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Walkway to the pool</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Besides, there is plenty of parking area in front of the apartment, so one does not have to worry about having no place to park the car. Let me show you the pretty pool just behind the apartment! It is surrounded by plenty of coconut trees to keep the temperature down and to provide shade from the sun.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2670/3790822546_09449b6bb4.jpg" alt="P1020147" width="500" height="333" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Mini coconut trees</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The pool is not big but the good part is that it is mostly unoccupied and clean. On weekday evenings, the pool is mostly used by 2 or 3 persons, sometimes none. But too bad I seldom swim now, because the chlorine is really cruel to my hair. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Swimming pool</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The shower area is so cute! This is where one would have a short shower before jumping into the pool.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2570/3790010645_335798b445.jpg" alt="P1020152" width="333" height="500" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Shower area</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Moving on, let me present to you my living room! The whole apartment is fully furnished, right up to air-conditioner and water heaters! Isn&#8217;t that great? The living room was decorated by the owner and I have no complaints about it, except that the weather is pretty hot in the afternoon. And I just love the floor! Most of the apartments these days use tiles, which tend to be sticky and oily after a few days of walking. This laminated floor does not have that problem at all.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2562/3790010145_5d9894c333.jpg" alt="P1020161" width="500" height="333" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Living area</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The dining area is spacious and has a sliding door with a background to boot! The sliding door is killing 2 birds at the same time by providing a nice backdrop and shielding the smoke from the kitchen.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3518/3790013525_17f080ee74.jpg" alt="P1020218" width="500" height="333" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Waterfall background</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Last but not least, the apartment is equipped with a nice solid wood built-in kitchen cabinet with a kitchen top as well. I love kitchen cabinets! They make our life in the kitchen so much better and convenient.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2630/3790013125_9c31eb63a4.jpg" alt="P1020185" width="333" height="500" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Built-in kitchen cabinet</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Of course, the picture shown here was taken before I actually moved my stuffs in. You can imagine the kitchen top with more equipment now ranging from a toaster oven, kettle, rice cooker, slow cooker and water bottles. Yes, I do cook. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2438/3790825208_4f3cdda109.jpg" alt="P1020168" width="500" height="333" /></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>Built-in kitchen cabinet</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This 3-room apartment is more than what I would expect for the rental that I&#8217;m paying. I definitely see myself enjoying my stay here for the next one year. <img src='http://www.iamthewitch.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
