Something’s Brewing at Coffee Chemistry Cafe
Recently, coffee seems to be the next big thing in town, with many eateries mushrooming and claiming to produce the best cup of coffee to satisfy the caffeine-lovers. With a name like Coffee Chemistry Cafe, one can already guess that this cafe specializes in brewing that special cup of heart-warming and fulfilling coffee. Even though I’m not a coffee-lover myself, I couldn’t resist to go and check out the place to see what the hype was about. Situated on the second floor above Movida in Sunway Giza, this cafe has no signboard of its own (yet). It houses the same premises with Cubic Platforms, a HTC training centre.

The cafe area is not exactly huge, but tables are spaced out comfortably without feeling cramped or intrusive. The black and white theme also gave the place a modern and casual environment, perfect for a fuss-free gathering with friends or even a date!

There’s even a small area outside for smokers, with a view of the Sunway Giza crowd below.

When we walked up the stairs, there was absolutely no indication that there was going to be a cafe, since there’s no visible signboard available. But one thing was sure, I could smell coffee and the unmistakable bacon on my way up! So, all my doubts went away when I let my nose lead the way. *LOL*

Coffee machine
Coffee Chemistry Cafe (CCC) prides itself in using the premium coffee beans, in this case, Graffeo coffee beans, all the way from the US.

Cups and cups of paradise
Once we’re seated, we were shown 2 pieces of laminated menu – 1 for drinks and another for food. Very simple and straightforward. There were several LCD screens on top of the counter, showing their signature food and coffee pictures, as well as previous patrons to the cafe.

Without further ado, we had our drinks ordered first.

Tea was also served for non-coffee drinkers

Black coffee
I ordered the Cafe Latte which is more heavy on milk, since it was already night time and I was worried of staying awake. This came with a lovely leaf on top (reminded me of Green Hornet – where’s my leaf?) and a fragrant aroma no less. The coffee was smooth and the milk was not overpowering. A nice cuppa to while the night away.

The Cappuccino and Mocha also had wonderful coffee art on top, and according to the persons who ordered them, they’re wonderful!

i’m a non-coffee fan too, but i’m now looking to get educated! i don’t even know the difference between a cafe latte, cappuccino and mocha, heheh. but yeah, i’m really impressed at how this cafe manages to satisfy with both its food AND beverages

While the original Graffeo is from the US, this Graffeo Coffee is roasted and packaged in Singapore. Operations started in SG in 2003.
