The Launch of M Privé – Exclusive Network of Successful Women

When Farena told me about her ‘baby’ called M Privé over the phone, I had trouble figuring how to spell it. Pronounced as “M Pree – veh”, this name is a combination of Magenta (Farena’s PR company) and Private (which is Privé in French), which aims to gather a select group of successful women for a monthly activity, while exploring and enjoying different experiences of the lifestyle.

It was really a new and refreshing idea to me, that no one has done it before in Malaysia baffles me. I thought the idea is pretty genius, to gather the successful women from all sorts of background into a network, where every one of them is able to leverage from each other, while sharing different experience and ideas. The possibilities are limitless! Being alone, I was feeling awkward at first to be in a circle of strangers, but really, there was no need to. From the time I came out of the elevator at Il Lido, I was met with warm smiles by everyone. Every lady I met was with a smiling face, ever so willing to make friends, to mingle and to chat. I felt like I was part of them.

Before long, I met a few fellow media friends who write for famous online magazines, and we hooked up instantly! Boy, such is the power of a women’s network. Everyone just felt like family, like sisters.

Of course, the birth of M Privé would not be possible had it not been for Farena, the founder of M Privé, who is ever so passionate about what she’s doing. I think she might have inspired a few of us that day, with her dedication and passion to bringing women together.

Guess who I met that day as well? Dilly from Red FM Breakfast show! OK, I have to admit I’m not really a loyal listener of Red FM but getting to know Dilly as a person was really quite something! I’ve always thought celebrities to be perhaps a little snobbish or only mix with their own clan, but not Dilly! She’s so fun and chirpy and I could talk to her about everything. And of course, now I’m a convert to Red FM Breakfast show. *LOL*

There were about 80 fabulous ladies during the launch, all of them looking gorgeous and had this successful aura around them. Best of all, these people don’t only come from Malaysia, but all over the world! There were ladies from Sweden, India and Brazil just to name a few.

The event started when everyone reached and was seated comfortably, with Farena making the opening speech. Apparently, to make this idea possible, she had help from 10 other gorgeous women from around the world! One of them was even a hot super model from Brazil! Can you spot her in one of the pictures below?
