The Day After at Shangrila Putrajaya

After the romantic dinner and night swim, we had a wonderful sleep until we were awaken by the sunshine from the balcony. Drawing the curtains, I was greeted by this rustic and soothing view of the garden, complete with the sound of a mini waterfall below. It was bliss!

Without wasting time, we went to the cafe for our complimentary breakfast. Yes, it’s complimentary for patrons of Shangrila Putrajaya, and I loved it because it’s quiet with not many customers around. Breakfast was held at Palm Hill Cafe and the selection was not overwhelming but just nice.

Once we’re seated, we’re served with either coffee or tea, according to preference. There were a few choices of fruit juice available too, from the buffet area.

Saucer’s breakfast plate

I never failed to order omelette in any hotel breakfast! I just thought that eating eggs in the morning would keep me full for a long long time. :) Thank goodness there’s a nice omelette guy at Palm Hill Cafe. Saucer likes his eggs to be without egg yolk, for cholesterol reasons. Hence, our omelette was white in colour!

There was a section of Malaysian food such as nasi lemak and fried noodles, while another section on some raya food as it was still during the raya month. Then there was yogurt at the drinks area, as well as cereal and milk. Really, the buffet was quite comprehensive!

After the hearty and wholesome buffet, we still had a couple of hours to kill so we walked around the hotel to check out the facilities. There’s this man-made landscape on the ground floor, with real plants, giving the area a cooling and soothing effect.
