Pick, Eat and Pay Later
A few weeks ago, Saucer and I were at The Curve for a movie appointment. We purposely went there earlier to have dinner first, since there are so many choices of restaurants there. The Street was just bursting with sounds, laughter and glasses clinking on a Friday night. Such joy! We passed by a few restaurants and decided to try Marche Restaurant, a place we’ve always wanted to go. Upon entrance, I saw a label on the door saying “No Photography” allowed, so all my pictures here were sneakily taken with my iPhone. So please pardon the quality.

Grilled Sirloin Steak
We were given a piece of Order Card each before ushered into the restaurant. Once we’re in, it was like a marketplace with stalls cooking all sorts of food. There were Swiss Rosti, Grilled Steaks, Pizzas, Pastas, Wraps, drinks and so on. The blend of smells alone was enough to whet your appetite.

Order Card
We went around looking at the stalls and deciding what to order. Once we made the order, the person at the stall would place a stamp on our Order Card, and we’re asked to come back and collect our order in 10 minutes (depending on what you order). I ordered this glass of Lemon Juice, which was really sour and zesty!

Lemon Juice
As for my main course, I was deciding between a wrap or a pasta, but the only pasta offered that night was Fusili which I don’t really like, so it’s a wrap for me! This was the Marche Special Wrap with Chicken, and it came with a bowl of thick mushroom soup. The wrap was amazing! It was filled to the brim with chicken, pepper, cheese and some brilliant sauce. Also, the paper thin layer was slightly crusted on the edges, giving it a slight crunch while it’s still hot.

They had this label with a Camera and a Slash across it pasted on the entrance. But I’m not sure how strict they enforce the rule…

No photography? I would just go and eat at another place…so sombong. The food also looks biasa only…and the place doesn’t look like some classier joints that would charge prices of a simliar range.

I always wonder what it is with restaurants which don’t allow photography?! What’s their grouch about customers taking pics of the food?

I was warned not to go to this restaurant many times so I didn’t go. So it was actually not bad?

I was told the Singapore branch is much better. Btw, is there another outlet in KL?
I hate it when restaurants disallow photography. Don’t they want us to promote their restaurants for them?
yum yum.. =)

They used to serve this roesti item, a Swiss potato dish that I liked. Wonder if it’s still available.
No photo? Haha … so restrictive.
