Mooncake Tweetup at Sushi Tei
Then I tried my luck at taking picture with Ethan. Mind you, he’s a pretty shy person and would not allow other people (except his mom) to take pictures of him! So you see, most of the pictures I took of him were with the help of his mom distracting him. And then, when I wanted to take picture with him, he just turned away! A few times at that! Ah, never felt so rejected before in my life. *LOL* But thanks to the mom, Merryn, I finally managed to take a picture with cute Ethan when she tried to distract him.

Then it was time for mooncakes! Here are some of the mooncakes that we had that night! We had all sorts – from the traditional baked ones, green tea, snow skin, blackforest, yam and of course, the champagne ones from Quachee.

Variety of mooncakes

The superstar – Champagne snow skin mooncakes from Raffles Hotel, Singapore
The champagne mooncake was definitely one of a kind! It was soft and very smooth, with the centre of white chocolate, I think. Too bad each of us only had half a piece.

And then, when it came to Foong‘s mooncake, we found it to be squishy and soft – perhaps left in the car for too long? And the worst was, when Quachee took a bite of it, he said it’s sour! Oh dear, the mooncake must have gone bad.
What are you trying to do Foong? Want to poison us is it? *LOL* Anyway, now you owe us one mooncake!

Yam mooncake
Kind Merryn also made something for me! Look at this – a witch-inspired lantern! So cute and creative of her! This lady is full of creative ideas, no wonder she’s doing so well in her craft business.

Lantern for the witch!
Our next agenda was to move to Starbucks to meet with famous magician Adrian Leong! He was so kind that night to show us a few tricks, entertaining us and keeping us in awe. Amazing!

He showed us a few tricks that night, using the rubber bands and a fork. The guy impressively made a straight fork bent into so many ways! Check out the ‘after’ picture of the fork!

The whole night was really fun and noisy! What I found amazing is that, for some of us, it was the first time meeting each other. But somehow, we managed to click so well! For me, it’s the first time meeting Grey, Quachee and Eric but they’re all such funny and nice people. The feeling was just like meeting old friends, sharing gossips and teasing each other. And of course, there’s Ethan – my favourite boy!
Definitely looking forward to our next outing soon!

Sushi Tei sucks!
Went to the MidValley branch.
Rice is undercooked, and under seasoned with vinegar.
Worst part is the maguro nigiri taste like it’s way past its expiry date.
Are you sure it’s Sushi Tei? Has it opened at MidValley already?
Nope, Sushi Tei has not opened in either MidV or Pavilion yet…boohoo…
What a special outing..Mooncake potbless.. too bad the purple one turned sour.. it must be nice eating that chilled…
