Celebrate Ramadan at Hotel Nikko with Buka Puasa Spread

It seems to be the trend among most hotels now to offer Whole Roasted lamb during the Ramadan buffets. Serena Brasserie was no exception either. Except that their roasted lamb was snapped away much faster! *LOL* Look, when I took the picture of this, the lamb was already a third gone, and it wasn’t even time to break fast yet! Definite proof of how good the lamb was.

The highlight of the buffet was the spread of traditional Malay dishes including Rendang and Sambal.

Sweet offerings are a must to round off a perfectly good buka puasa experience and one will be spoilt for choice with the following types of kuih and cookies. Not to forget, fruits and desserts for a sweet end, yes?

I was just squealing with delight when I saw kuih talam on the dessert table! It used to be my favourite kuih when I was young, back in my home town. Eating this definitely brought back sweet memories of the yore.

haha.. buka puasa buffet at hotel nikko really got a lot of food.. my gf will sure increase weight if i bring her go eat =D

Hah! The grilled fish tied with pandan leaves… Reminds me of the ones I cooked and posted on in my blog – real nice! Kuih talam? I prefer serimuka – the ones with pulut in the bottom layer. Love those brown ones – last pic. Can’t remember the name now…
