Manhattan Fish Market – Salam Over Spice Ramadan Specials & GIVEAWAY!

Joining the bandwagon of Ramadan specials is none other than Manhattan Fish Market (MFM), spicing up this Ramadan with a special Bumbu sauce. Saucer and I happened to pass by this restaurant last week after work, when we were at e@Curve for movie. The huge Salam over Spice banner at the entrance of the shop really caught our attention!
Dates for breaking fast
So we decided to go in and give it a try. Apparently, the special Bumbu sauce is based on traditional Indonesian recipes of chillies, ginger, turmeric, tomatoes, garlic, belacan and a whole lot of other spices, brilliantly mixed into one. There were 2 sets of Bumbu Fiesta meals on offer and we tried both of them because we were just too hungry. *LOL*

To start the dinner, we had Garden Salad, which was a healthy balance of greens and reds. If you know me well, you’d know that Saucer would be the one having most of the salad since he’s more health-conscious than me. *LOL*

Now the next dish was more like my type of food! *evil grin* The Quad Delights came in a platter big enough to feed a few persons. There were Calamari rings, Country Mushrooms, Fried shrimps and a Coleslaw in the middle. I especially liked the fried shrimp because the skin was crispy without being overly thick, and most importantly, the shrimp was succulent!

Saucer on the other hand, preferred the Fried Country Mushroom, which was pretty addictive as well. Never really had mushrooms deep fried before, so this was quite a new way of eating it. I liked that the fried stuff didn’t look very oily, and still remained crispy after a while.

To wash down the appetizers, we had the Soup of the Day, which was mushroom soup. Warm and thick, this soup was not very much different from the one served at Pizza Hut.

I personally love Manhattan Fish Market a lot! I still remember I first ate it in Kuching and I think it was real awesome! And guess what, I’ve not been eating MFM for like one year, so I need VOUCHERS!!!! LOL Thanks in advance!

Poached Bumbu Dory fish over a bed of Bumbu rice and delicious Garlic Broccoli seems to be perfect for dinner, I really like garlic broccoli very much.. With the only the picture itself, I can already “feel” the taste of it =D The Manhattan Mud Pie also looks yummy too.. Both my gf and I like to eat dessert very much.. Especially those spongy cake with chocolate topping together with some nuts.. This kind of combination sure can make us drool before we even eat it =) I’m sure you must be very full after the meal ya? Haha..

ahh so nice! but i think not much different from the one i ate during CNY. lol! i think d diff only the rice and the dish presentation.
i love the fried country mushroom!! i can fin it all by my self! mwahahaha!! but the soup that i had the other day is not dat one leh. hehe. i never try the mud pie! i want! *DROOL*

hmmm, i think there’s some problem with the pricing.. 1 pax at RM24.90, 2 pax at RM70.90??
and i examined through the items they have in the combo, errr, same thing what?? all the same thing..
might as well order two sets of 1 pax combo then?? RM70.90 – 2x(RM24.90), and we save RM21.10!!!
with that RM21.10, add another RM3.80 can order another 1 pax combo already.. hmmm, i wonder how they do the maths??
and actually it think MFM’s portion are quite huge.. order 2 sets of 1 pax combo can actually be shared by 3 person..
