Ramadhan Buffet Dinner at One World Hotel
It’s that time of the year again where Muslims around the world appreciate the holy month of Ramadhan by fasting or ‘puasa’ as we know it. Now, after a day of fasting, surely one would be looking forward to breaking fast with delicious, mouth-watering cuisine of traditional favourites, yes? Cinnamon Coffee House at One World Hotel might just be where you could visit for a taste of conventional Malay food, signature Chinese dishes and delectable Indian temptations, much like the 1 Malaysia spirit.
Malay roasted lamb
With a diverse menu of a whopping 100 dishes offered, one would definitely have an unforgettable feast for the eyes as well as the palate. I know that because during my visit there, I found that the buffet spread was simply MASSIVE! It was simply the biggest spread that I’ve witnessed, with plenty of variety that I could only savour probably 50% of it all! I shall let the pictures do the talking if you don’t believe me.

The salad spread was filled with different types of vegetables, hams and sausages. Definitely spoilt for choice.

There were many small stalls in the restaurant, each preparing its own specialty dishes. There was, for example, the ‘ikan bakar’ stall where one could choose raw fish or seafood to be cooked upon order.

From the Chinese cuisine, there was the Clear Noodles Soup with Seafood, which was pretty interesting for one could choose not only the noodles, but the vegetables and the seafood to go with the soup!

The Teh Tarik stall was a hit with patrons since the act of pulling the milk tea was already an attraction by itself.

and then i just love the sushi presentation, so gorgeous leh, although i don’t really fancy sushi lah, i’m more sashimi type, because sushi is filling so eat already can’t eat other things, hahaha!!

yo..the lamb.. so pitiful without the head.. they put the whole thing there? gosh! i tak appetite already.. hahhaaa.. funny… chicken ok but see the big animal sitting there like that, very gory and sad feeling..

Hmm I thought so too at first.. quite scary.. but everyone just got used to it in the end! LOL!
I think take a tour for all food served will take 1/2 hour also hor… ^^

Ooooo…loved these buka puasa buffets. Was looking forward to meetings and seminars around puasa time every year as would get to eat for free….(included in package) until I feasted on all the seafood one time – oysters, prawns, crabs, clams whatever…and at around 2 a.m. I discovered I could not walk – extreme pain, could not bend my knees…could not go to the toilet even! Gout! That was it! Never again, thank you very much!
P.S. I love roast lamb but seeing the whole thing like that… Eeeee…puts me off. LOL!!!
