Mini Reunion at Tony Roma’s Pavilion

Last Sunday, Allan sent me an SMS, asking if I was free for dinner with a fellow ex-classmate Vickna. Since it was a weekend, I immediately said yes, and we met up at 7pm in Pavilion. Thinking of where to go for dinner, I was debating between Ichiban Boshi and Tony Roma’s. And since Allan had had Japanese the day before, we decided on Tony Roma’s instead.

As usual, Tony Roma’s would serve us warm bread before our orders arrived. I loved their bread especially when warm, since it’s so soft and went well with the garlic and butter spread provided.

Soon, our orders arrived. Allan ordered the Marinated Chicken breast with rice and broccoli. I’m not a fan of chicken breast, but that serving looked huge! Two huge slabs of solid, chicken breast meat. PLUS rice! I am very sure that I would not be able to finish this on my own.

Vickna, on the other hand, ordered Chicken Alfredo, which I had eaten in my previous visit. This was also a pretty huge portion, and peppered with lots of chicken fillets. The pasta was done al dente, with sauce which was not too creamy nor watery. The few slices of dried chillies provided a spicy tinge to the pasta, giving it a unique twist of flavours.

As for me, I had the Asian Salad with Grilled chicken. This was probably the 3rd time I ordered the same dish, because it’s healthy and yummy! Some people might not be very used to the taste of this Asian salad, since it’s prepared in a different way compared to the typical Western salad. It did not use mayonnaise nor Thousand Island sauce, but more of Asian seasoning such as the sesame oil and chilli sauce. Interesting eh?

Asian Salad with Grilled chicken (Half – RM15.90/ Full – RM19.90)

It comes at Half of Full portion, but I’d recommend the Half portion if you’re having this on your own. The portion is quite sizable. Plus, I don’t know how they did it but the chicken fillets were very tender and moist, not something I would expect out of grilled chicken breast meat. Well done!

If you visit Tony Roma’s before, remember to keep their receipt and do the survey online to get RM10 discount off like us! See the bill below, we kept our previous visit’s receipt and used it to get a RM10 discount from the total bill. Not bad a deal. :)

Mini reunion

Tony Roma’s may be famous for their ribs but there are so much more in the menu waiting to be discovered. I would love to try the other dishes in my next visit, provided if I’m not attracted to the Asian Salad with Grilled chicken yet again. :)

Yes, one of the better choices when it comes to set lunches in malls.
I still like it when they provide a variety of sauces to go along with the meats.

And using CIMB credit card nets you a 10 or 15% off. Not bad huh?

Oh yea, those sauces are the killer! 4 of them in total.. I love it when the waiter actually takes the time to describe the uniqueness of each sauce to you.. :) You’re right! CIMB credit card entitles you to 10% off on normal days, and EXTRA 10% on Sundays! Very good deal! But too bad I no longer hold any credit cards… :P
