Texas Food found in Seoul! – Part 7
It was Friday! I was in a particularly good mood since Saucer told me that they were both going to finish early on this day to have a nice dinner before Sri (Saucer’s colleague) left. We were staying one more night though, to explore Seoul further. Come lunch time, I took the subway to meet Saucer up at his office at LS Yongsan Tower.

We then scouted for lunch nearby, looking again, for non-beef food. We found this restaurant selling seafood noodles and gave it a try. It was not really packed during lunch, but the ambience was relaxing and comfortable. We were served with complimentary appetizers as usual.

Appetizers
The noodles came sizzling in a hot pot, with plenty of seafood.

Seafood noodles
Surprisingly, these noodles were very similar to our local pan mee, except that they’re of much bigger portion. It was comforting to eat this in the cold winter weather.

After lunch, I waited for them to clear up their stuff and went back to the apartment. Later, we headed out to look for a nice and non-Korean dinner as requested by Sri.

The streets got dark very early during the winter, but we didnt’ feel unsafe. In fact, it was pretty nice to walk when night fell, especially in cool weather.

We soon spotted a bright neon-lit restaurant signboard that sold Western food. In we went, with much anticipation.

JS Texas Bar
The JS Texas Bar had a very warm and cozy interior that was perfect for an after work meal or drinking session. In fact, we spotted a few tables with working professionals enjoying their beers in the comfort of this bar and its groundnuts.
Look at the amount of beer bottles at this bar! You can just pick whichever you want and drink it.

So many liquor bottles
We ordered some sauteed beef set to be shared.

witch and Saucer
To be honest, the taste was just average, with the salad being mediocre at best. But, of course, the company is what matters most, as they say.

We had a good night’s chat until late, and walked back to our hotel. Oh I must show you the 7-11 store which was located just behind our hotel! I basically went there almost every day to get our supply of milk/bread/junk food/beer. Very convenient!

That marked the end of our Friday night. On the next day, Saucer and I had so much fun exploring Seoul on our own and spending the whole day together! It was a day fully packed with adventure and joy. Will write that post soon!

Yea you’re so right! haha, in fact, he already said he wasn’t used to Korean food on the first day itself
I wonder if Malaysia’s 7-11 outlets are the only ones people do NOT go to for their daily supplies. I do not find anything worthy of mentioning in our 7-11, nothing that even comes close to Thailand’s 7-11′s range of snacks, hot dogs and burgers.

You know, even in HK, I frequented 7-11 pretty often. Probably Malaysian 7-11′s overpriced food and snacks and lack of supplies made us shy away from the store..
jeng ler their so alike ‘pan mee’ …. is it udon noodles?
It’s not udon noodles.. it’s their homemade noodles, but definitely tasted similar to pan mee!
