Venezuelan Gastronomic Festival at Prince Hotel, KL

Venezuela has always been known to me as a country with a bevy of beauties, as it is apparent from their impressive record in always winning beauty pageants. However, if you talk about Venezuelan cuisine, it is a whole new league for me. Thanks to Prince Hotel which is hosting the Venezuelan Gastronomic Festival for the Fifth time in Malaysia now, I had the chance to savour and embrace Venezuelan culture and cuisine.

Venezuelan tidbits

Prince Hotel is bringing delicious and exotic dishes which  used to be made in Venezuela back from 200 years ago! Celebrity Chef Tamara Rodriquez was specially flown in all the way from Venezuela to indulge us spoiled Malaysians with her unique recipes, specially prepared on the occasion of her country’s Bicentennial anniversary of Independence.

Some of the signature Venezuelan dishes that night include:

Tamal stuffed with spicy black beans and wrapped in banana leaves

White Fish Fillet with cashews and nutmeg sauce (Fillets Angoustura con crust de merey y salsa de nuze moscada)

One of the dishes to note was the roasted caramel steak which was tender and juicy. The caramel sauce was not too thick nor thin, and blended with the steak perfectly.
