One World Hotel Dim Sum Buffet at Zuan Yuan Restaurant

Did you guys hear about the Hot Air Balloon festival last weekend held in Putrajaya? To be honest, it was my first time hearing about such an event and it was apparently happening annually! I guess I was just not that exposed to these events back then when I was still in Penang. :) Anyway, the group of us bloggers decided to join in the fun to take pictures at the ungodly hour of 7am on Saturday! *groans* Not to mention I slept at 2am the night before, so I only had 4+ hours of sleep before heading to Putrajaya.

The weather that morning was not so nice, hence most pictures turned out to be pretty dark. :(

After sweating it out and being chased out by the guards (because I was not holding a DSLR!), we were hungry looking for breakfast/lunch. Ken came to the rescue and suggested we go for dim sum buffet at Zuan Yuan restaurant located in One World Hotel. Immediately, all of us said yes! More like our tummy said yes. *LOL*

Zuan Yuan, being the hotel’s signature restaurant bears an aura of oriental exuberance. With the restaurant name that is synonymous with a treasure trove of gems, Zuan Yuan welcomes its patrons with silver leaf ceilings, ebony doors and artifacts of wine jars that complement the decor and cuisine of the restaurant.

When all of us arrived, we downed cups of the exquisite Chinese tea after the sweltering morning.

With that, our taste buds were ready and awaiting. :) What is dim sum without the ever famous signature ‘har kao’ or prawn dumplings? The dumplings here were steaming hot when served, with several (at least 2) succulent prawns within each dumpling, doubling up our satisfaction.

Being a halal restaurant, the siew mai here is creatively modified to use, guess what? Shark’s fin (!) AND shrimps instead of pork. Well if you ask me, I’ll say yes to this version of siew mai anytime! :)

wow, your pics improved. Yes, keep it up ! Utilize your LX3 advantage, it’s strength in close up and may be better than entry-level DSLR.
