My Pampered Hen Night
A week before my big day, my dear girlfriends arranged a hen night for me! It was to be a day of pampering and food and lots of catching up! We were supposed to meet up at Bangsar Village 2 by 3pm but due to the traffic jam, I was late and only reached around 3.20pm?
Once I reached, Corinne (my bridesmaid) placed a tiara on my head and a sash across my body, with the words “Bride to Be”. Oh dear, it was so embarrassing but I had to wear it because I was late! *LOL* Our first agenda was to have a couple of hours of pampering doing our manicure and pedicure at this lovely nail parlour called Chic Nail Spa by Soong Ai Ling, at Bangsar Village 2.

Beautiful and chic decor

Lots of perfume on display
I totally fell in the love with the decor of Chic Nail Spa. It was all very modern and chic, and also very functional! They have a place to put your jewelry, to keep your bag, to keep your shoes and to rest your legs. Everything is well-allocated in the nail spa. And the best part is the size of the spa, it could accommodate 8 persons at one time. So all of us girls can get pampered at the same time without having to wait for our respective turns.

A nice cup of tea served during the duration – love the china set!
Picture of every one of us was taken during our pampering time! Look at my sash!

witch getting a pedicure

Corinne here who flew back all the way from Australia! HUGS!

Mei Fong, who flew some 13 hours from the UK! *Kisses*

Miaw Wah, my long-time friend from Kindergarten to Secondary school

Choy Hong, school mate from secondary school

May Foong, one of my besties from Primary school onwards – oh dear, more than 18 years ago now!
The assistants at Chic Nail Spa were very professional and quick with their job. We started with pedicure first, and later on, a foot scrub. While our feet were getting scrubbed, another assistant came over and worked on our finger nails. At one point, there were two girls pampering us, and we felt like princesses!

Our completed nails – no prize for guessing which was mine!

Painted toe nails!
Did you notice something similar with our feet above? All of us were wearing open-toe sandals! And out of 6 of us, 5 of us bought the sandals on that day! The moral of the story? Wear open toe sandals when you plan on getting a pedicure. Clearly, we’re amateurs at that. Corinne was even wearing sneakers! *LOL*

The girls and I at my Hen night
Next, we moved on to have dinner! Mei Fong suggested a place called Delicious, which is no stranger to most of us in KL. I agreed to it immediately! Lucky for us, there was a table available even though we showed up almost an hour earlier than the booked time.

The girls waiting for food
Here are some of the food we had that night! Can’t remember the names though, but they were mostly good!

Spicy crab pasta

Napolicious pasta (I think)

Curry chicken – huge portion!

Grilled chicken salad
I know, you must be wondering who ate just salad? It was me of course! Well, as much as I wanted to dip my fork into the delicious pasta, I had to stop myself from eating carbohydrates before my big day! My dresses all fit perfectly and couldn’t tolerate even an extra half inch increment ok! *LOL*

The girls and I
Thank you so much girls, for taking the time and effort to celebrate my hen night! Especially to Corinne and Mei Fong who flew all the way back! I love you guys to bits!!! *MUAXX*
