I was privileged to be part of the media team to attend the pre-launch event so that I could give you a taste of what is going to happen on the real wedding fair itself. :) Prince Hotel is going to offer a host of specially tailored wedding packages, ballroom settings with contemporary style decorations, wedding gifts and lots of other benefits that will definitely lend a touch of class and elegance to each wedding.

Before long, it was time for Carven Ong to display his wedding gown creation.

The bride’s gown was designed by Carven Ong while the groom’s suit was by Lord’s Tailor. I thought both of them looked absolutely gorgeous.

Besides, Classic & Vintage Bridal Cars showcased one of its very rare cars on that night, a Cadillac! It was indeed my first ever time seeing and touching a Cadillac and it’s so very posh.

Later on, we also had the privilege of sampling the Wedding Dinner Menu at the ballroom.

The appetizer consisted of Fillet ahi no lilikoi ebi (seared ahi tuna with tropical fruits, shrimp, scallops, onions, tomato and macadamia nuts) and Tsuke shiro ahi sashimi (marinated white tuna with sweet vinegar, shoyu, fresh garlic, olive oil and tongarashi powder). In fact, the seared tuna was pretty petite that I couldn’t make out the ingredients from the look of it.

Second course was the Prince Three Hot Appetizer Combination, consisted of wok-fried prawn with Asian tomato and black sesame dressing, crispy yam puff with foie gras and minced chicken and steamed cod dumpling with crab meat glaze.

The shark’s fin came next, and though it didn’t come in the form of a fin like my previous visit, it still tasted good.

Next dish was something quite unique, the Ikan bakar Melaka, which was charcoal grilled banana leaf wrapped fish fillet with tamarind sauce. I thought it’s unique because when this dish came, we were served with white rice! But the fish fillet was really full of flavour and spices, that I thought one just had to eat it with rice because it opened up your appetite.

Next up was the Roasted chicken with vindaloo sauce, mango chutney, lime pickles and clay-oven baked naan, which was of Indian influence. I just liked how the menu was crafted, with cuisines from Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western all in one!

Finally, the dessert was served, Flourless chocolate cake with ginger-glazed pears, sesame tuile and vanilla ice-cream. Chocolate cakes will never go wrong with us girls! ;)

Before the end of the dinner, we were also served with bottles of non-alcoholic, Halal drink by Chamala Celebration Drinks. It tasted like champagne minus the bitterness and sparkling juice without the taste of juice, if you get what I mean. Bottom line is, I found the drink very easy to drink and especially suitable for dinner events held at the hotel, where the food is expected to be Halal.

Of course, what would the night be without a round of camwhoring, yes? I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the cute hunk by the name of Alan Yun walking around the ballroom, having dinner with us! In case you don’t recognize him, he’s the guy who acted in the Pensonic commercials.

One thing I have realized in all your content and I thought I’d compliment you on is how solid your writing and grammar are. Where did you figure out how to write so good? It looks like you have a degree in writing from a University.
