My birthday celebration

This year, my birthday especially fell on the same day with the Mooncake Festival. Saucer and I were back at home in Kampar, celebrating Mooncake festival with my family after we registered in the morning. The traditional joss sticks and candles were all properly arranged outside our house.

When everyone was done with prayers, we proceeded to celebrate my birthday! Mom bought a cake from Secret Recipe, Cappuccino cheesecake, if I’m not mistaken.

Just before we lighted the candle, someone rang on our doorbell and it was a surprise visit from my best friend cum room mate in uni, Szu Ann! She came bearing gifts and her husband. It was the perfect timing.

And so we proceeded with singing the birthday song. Can you spot my grandpa? He’s so cute, with this grey hair and pajamas. Everyone else was there too, I felt so loved!

Moving on, I shall share with you what I got for birthday this year! *woot* First and foremost, a wonderful gift from my brand new husband – a Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS! *applause* I have always wanted a GPS for my own, but since Saucer has one, I didn’t bother checking out for myself. Instead, I always borrowed from him whenever I needed to use it for my food hunts/reviews. Until one day, we both needed the GPS at the same time! Chaotic, I tell you. But now, the problem is solved. I have my very own GPS. *yay!*

Then, I had a very pleasant surprise when my long time good friend Mei Fong in UK sent me a BIG bouquet of white roses!!! They’re my favourites dear! Thank you so so much! Although I must say, I made quite an item of attraction in the office. *LOL*

And finally, yesterday night, Xin gave me another surprise when she presented me with a gift too! So sweet of you babe!

I had the most memorable birthday celebration ever. But as they always say, good times fly by. Before I knew it, it was already the end of 3rd of October. Although I was sad that the day was over, I slept with a big smile, thinking that everything that happened on that day was just perfect.
