Selamat Hari Raya with Prince Hotel
It’s the 1st of the Syawal month today, so Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri everybody! It must have been good to have an extra long weekend, minus the traffic jam of course. I hope you didn’t get stuck in traffic jam on your way back to kampung though. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, kind Shirley from Prince Hotelinvited Saucer and I to have a ‘buka puasa’ feast with the orphans from Pusat Jagaan Nur Salam. It was an event not to be missed! The food spread was huge, ranging from Chinese to Western to the traditional Malay food.

The mini burgers looked absolutely cute. There were plenty of fish and chicken dishes to go around too.
All the children had the time of their lives feasting on the yummy food from the 5-star hotel. Count it on Prince Hotel to give you a pleasurable dining experience, with meticulous table settings and elegant decor of the ballroom. There was even a clown to keep the kids entertained with very funky balloons!

Towards the middle of the dinner, an announcement was made, asking all the kids to queue up in front of CEO Tim. Needless to say, all the kids rushed happily to take their places, high anticipating of what was about to happen. It turned out that Tim was giving out ‘duit raya’, or green packets of money! *Yay!* Also, later on, the kids formed another queue in front of F&B Director Andrew, to get goodie bags! Prince really did a commendable job making the orphans’ day. The children were all smiling ear-to-ear on that night, in the midst of joyous chatter and playful screams.

Apart from the main courses, there was also a huge spread of desserts for all of us. There was the delicious apple crumble, Raya cookies, kuih and fruits.

Oh I must say I enjoyed the ‘ice kacang’ with ice-cream very much! Girls always have a sweet tooth, eh?

It was truly a fun event, made more so by the cheerful kids running around us while we ate.

At the end of the dinner, the bloggers took the chance to camwhore (what’s new).

I took the above picture because I thought her balloon was too cute!
I applaud Prince Hotel for doing its part in giving back to the society. If only more corporations would do the same, the world would be a much better place.
Selamat Hari Raya every body!

Not only girls, some boys also have sweet tooth! I normally head to the dessert section at any buffet to check them out before I check out other food! Haha!
Did I see kueh koci in your photo? I love kueh koci and anything that has to do with santan kelapa. Yum!
